Keep the circus going inside you, keep it going, don't take anything too seriously, it'll all work out in the end. ~ David Niven
The circus is in town and my thoughful husband who drives around during the day happened upon the Ringling Bros. and Barnum Bailey train parked not too far from where we live. He sent me an email to let me know he saw the train because he thought I would like the photo op. He was right...
I've always had mixed feelings about the circus, I'm not a fan of clowns, (that is being nice, I don't like clowns at all, frankly they scare me!) and I've probably made assumptions about the animal care, even though I have no basis for thinking badly. I decided to look up Ringling Bros and I was happy to hear about their Elephant Conservation and Retirement complex located right here in central florida. You can read about the Center for Elephants here.
Still not sure if I will go to the circus, but I bet I would get some interesting photos! There is something whimsical about a circus. Thanks to my husband I got to see the train.
On my 1/6/12 post I posted that I was going to participate in Project 52; well I changed my mind.
I've decided to participate in the MCP Project 12.
At the beginning of each month there will be a new theme announced. The participates have a month to upload up to four images that meet the guidelines of the monthly theme.
January's theme is RESOLUTION.
I'll be brainstorming what that means to me and posting accordingly. I'll be posted to Save My Sunshine blog with a link back to this site. I am looking forward to the challenge.
Today I wandered downtown Orlando for a couple hours with my camera in hand. I ran into a car show on Church Street which was an added bonus. Nice just getting out and seeing my world through the view finder. Here are a few shots of my city. Click picture to open viewer.
The last few nights, I've been making non-caffeinated tea for Bekah and I to enjoy before going to sleep. I've always loved tea, but randomly. This new ritual is actually quiet nice. It has become an event I really look forward to. This is my first picture for project 52; one picture a week for a year. I attempted the 365, a picture a day and even though I came close I didn't keep up with it. Hopefully I can with a picture a week.
